Opening Ceremony of Riot Games League of Legends tournament.

Worlds 23, at the Skydome in Seoul, South Korea opened with the stunning cinematic journey of a League player jumping through a portal that transported them to the stadium stage. The Hero’s journey moved through epic battles with opponents from the game, against the backdrop of iconic performances by New Jeans, Mako and Telle, a cast of 30 dancers, and the newly formed boy band HEARTSTEEL. They collaborated with K-pop supergroup New Jeans blending their unique style with the world of League of Legends. As Costume Designer and Lead Stylist, Athena was tasked with creating an iconic look for the Hero that would pop in both the cinematic sequences and on the stadium stage.
